SDRs are typically the first to receive marketing qualified leads (MQLs), engage in prospect research, account navigation and perform outreach to prospects. They qualify leads to Sales Qualified Lead (SQL) status and hand up qualified prospects to the next sales stage.
Responsibilities
- Market Research: Conduct thorough market research on prospects to identify potential leads.
- Understanding CGI Core Competencies: Have a deep understanding of the core competencies of CGI to accurately represent and pitch to prospects.
- Initial Contact: Establish the first line of communication with prospects through various means such as cold calls, warm calls, emails, and LinkedIn outreach.
- Inbound Calls: Handle and respond to inbound calls when a prospective customer shows interest.
- Account Navigation: Navigate accounts to uncover decision makers, identifying their roles both in the company and in the purchasing process.
- Understand Prospects: Spend necessary time to understand the prospective customer’s business and the competitive landscape they operate in.
- Data Management: Ensure all information related to prospects and sales cycle is accurately entered and maintained in the CRM system. Improve prospects in the CRM system through outreach and navigation.
- Lead Qualification: Ability to evaluate the potential of leads and move them to the appropriate next sales stage.
- CGI Messaging: Utilize the CGI messaging methodology to make impactful and credible initial impressions.
- Nurturing: Continuously nurture contacts until they are converted into customers.
- Professional Courtesy: Maintain professional courtesy to share pertinent information with other stakeholders, such as Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Account Managers (AMs), and Sales Engineers (SEs).
- Quota Achievement: Since the role is quota-driven, meeting or exceeding set quarterly goals is crucial.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
